Profile Information

About Me:
Once upon a time, I was a cowgirl, truck driver, organic farmer. Now I'm embracing my softer side, a helpmeet to my husband, raising two beautiful children, caring for my home, and cultivating a closer relationship with God, family, and friends.
How Long have you homeschooled?
Technically we're just starting preschool-y stuff.
What ages are your children?
My son is 3 and my daughter is 1.
What Homeschool theory do you ascribe to?
Ummm, eclectic?
What is your primary goal in Homeschooling your kids?
To glorify God, maintain close parent-child relationships, and to equip them with real life skills.
What is your greatest challenge with Homeschooling?
Since we're just starting, we haven't really hit any major challenges. I forsee issues with grandparents, organization, and heart attitudes (mine mostly)

Howdy!

Hmmm.... I'm not sure I knew what I was getting into when Shawna invited me to join here, but let's just see where it leads for now. I guess I can really be a super Homeschool Hacks newbie since my kiddos are 3 and 1. But really, doesn't the homeschooling paradigm start at birth of each child? Teaching, loving, serving, glorifying God. I've always wished I lived on a farm; but I can't even keep my puny little vegetable garden alive!

Hi Amy, this smart little site just showed me that you are online! (Or maybe you are like me and were called away from your computer HOURS ago...and it only looks like you are online!) Anyway, what time is it there? Its 8PM here....approaching late for me! I go to bed with the chickens these days. By the way, I was a once cow girl too....but when I was a kid. We live on Old MacDonald's place, with chickens, cows, goats, a huge garden. Horses to ride. It was great. Now, I wonder how my mom EVER kept up with it all! (Oh ya, my sister and I went to school every day!)

Your "about me" section makes me think that you'd be a really interesting person to sit and have a cup of tea with sometime! I'm guessing there is never a dull moment at your house? Sounds fun! Looking forward to getting to know you. ;)

Preeecisely! Sometimes I just stare at the comment box, shrug my shoulders and move on.

And my report card always said, "Cyndy needs to learn the appropriate times to socialize."

Go figure. :)
