Profile

About Me:
I have been married for 14 years to my Mr. Steady, a truly wonderful man. Besides taking care of hearth and home and homeschooling, I work part-time at my church as the director of youth ministries. We came into homeschooling a bit late (my oldest having been in ps for 4 years and middle girl for 1 year) but fell in love with the lifestyle immediately.
How Long have you homeschooled?
1.5 years "for real" - more like 5 years
What ages are your children?
Oldest, daughter, age 11
Middle, daughter, age 8
Youngest, son, age 4
What Homeschool theory do you ascribe to?
Um . . . . My theory is that homeschooling is a lifestyle and when it really meshs with your family, you will find that everything you do, and even desire to do, will be a learning experience that will shape and grow you. You will look at the world through different eyes and be better for it.
Our style is: Charlotte Mason-ish
What is your primary goal in Homeschooling your kids?
Our primary goal is to raise healthy, knowledgable God honoring young people with Christian world views that they will desire to use to impact others for Him.
What is your greatest challenge with Homeschooling?
Finding time (and money) for all those fun extra projects we want to do!

Hi new friend. Glad to meet you. I've been to your blog before, but it's been awhile. Now, I'm off to cook dinner. Friday- pizza- how predictable.

Amy, thank you for the invite. I'm very excited about this support group/blog/site - what is this called anyway? LOL! You all inspire me, starting with ALLI! (Mrs. Fussypants.) My challenge now is to find the time to get on-line and participate in these blogs!!!

Amy-
You can ABSOLUTELY not homeschool without coffee. On extremely stressful days, I feel two may be necessary... two mocha freezes that is. I am prone to 32 oz-ers when I make them at home. Thanks for commenting!!!

LOL--That's funny Amy! Yep, I can relate with that too--I think I may have lost both my sense of humor and sanity a time or two myself!

Nice to meet you.
